Dr. Priya Kumar

GP Partner

Qualifications: BSC MBBS MRCGP DFSRH

Special Interests: Diabetes, minor surgery and dermatology

Dr Kumar did her medical training at Imperial College London, and moved to Sheffield to undertake her GP training.  Following a brief move back home to Wales she came back and joined Pitsmoor Surgery in 2015.  She has a BSC in gastroenterology and special interest in diabetes, minor surgery and dermatology.  In her free time she enjoys relaxing with her family and keeping fit.

Dr. Lou Millington

Special Interests: Palliative care, public health and health in developing countries

Dr Millington has worked at Pitsmoor Surgery since 2012 having previously worked overseas. Dr Millington's special interests are palliative care, public health and health in developing countries.

Dr. Catie Nagel

Qualifications: MBChB (Hons), MRCGP, MEd

Special Interests: Medical education, health inequalities and academic general practice

Pronouns: She/Her

Dr Nagel works at the practice 2 days a week and undertakes academic work at the University of Sheffield for the remainder of the week.  She is a medical educator of doctors in training and other allied health professionals.  Dr Nagel strongly believes in the founding values of the NHS and that we should be striving to achieve health and health equity for all.

Dr. Jennifer Bayliss

Special Interests: Elderly care, general medicine and ear nose and throat surgery.

Dr Burton did his medical training in Brighton. He completed his foundation years in Oxford and Reading before working in hospital medicine for two years. He undertook GP training in Sheffield and came to Pitsmoor Surgery as a Registrar in 2015, returning to join the team in 2017. In his training, he especially enjoyed his rotations in elderly care, general medicine and ear nose and throat surgery. In his free time, Dr Burton enjoys DIY and playing five-a-side football.

Dr Lawy joined the surgery as a salaried GP in May 2019. 

Dr. Rebecca Newby

Salaried GP

Special Interests: Obstetrics, psychiatry and palliative care.

Dr Newby is one of our GPs. She is now working part time since becoming a mum so will be with us on Mondays and Wednesdays. She went to medical school in Newcastle and did her Foundation Years in North Cumbria before moving to Sheffield for GP training. In her training she has particularly enjoyed her rotations in obstetrics, psychiatry and palliative care.
