Travel Vaccination

From 1st May 2023

If you need any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to print out and fill in the travel vaccinations questionnaire. Once you have filled in the questionnaire, return it to the surgery. The receptionist will then book you an appointment with the practice nurse. 

It is important to return the questionnaire and make an appointment at least 8 weeks before you travel, as vaccinations may need to be ordered in.

Please be aware we have a limited number of appointments available, so plan in advance to avoid disappointment. 

If you do not allow sufficient time before your date of travel, you may not have all the protection that you require. We cannot provide vaccines to be administered elsewhere as we cannot ensure the cold chain is kept and so cannot ensure the safety of the vaccines. 

Some travel vaccines are available on the NHS and we can provide these.  The vaccinations that we can provide are:

• Hepatitis A
• Typhoid
• Diphtheria / Tetanus / Polio

Any other vaccinations will have to be given at a private travel clinic.
